Here’s where to go in new york

… from a [former] new yorker

Friday

LUNCH in soho

* walk from hotel down broadway st. until you hit soho *
* walk through soho / shop *
*
head to greenwich village *
* walk around washington square park *

SNACKS in greenwich

* maybe second best pizza in New York, trust me. hidden gem. there will be a line *

* one of those “you have to try it once” kinda things *

HAPPY HOUR in noho

* you know that coffee shop in the show friends? The one they ALWAYS go to? Well, phebe’s is my friends coffee shop. whenever I go back to nyc to visit, phebe’s is always the first stop. *

* phebe’s vibe: large irish bar, dimly lit, great happy hour, a generous poor, chatty staff (rare in for new york), the occasional famous person sitting in the corner avoiding humans, real candles on the tables, did i mention the nachos? *

* mono + mono: all you need to know is on this reel *

DINNER in the east village

* bottomless wine? say no more, I’m in. san marzano is the only place where you can get bottomless wine at ANY time, make last minute reservations for 10 people, eat a shit ton for pasta, and not spend a lot of money. *

* great for large parties and id recommend asking to be seated outside because everyone they literally seat you on the sidewalk and the people watching opportunity is 10/10 *

* fair warning, the food is just alright lol this is for the experience not the food <3 *

NIGHT OUT in midtown

* a new spot. hard to get into. if you can’t get in, go to LAVO! v possible that’s what happened to us… 🥲 | lavo’s vibes are good but it’s definitely the place promoters take girls to bc they know they can get in lol so take that as u will *

Saturday

BRUNCH in FiDi

* make sure you go to the location in FiDi not the location in greenwich village. not knocking that location (still love it there and have gotten drunk many times lol) but the downtown location is beautiful and like a completely different vibe. *

* great bottomless option for cheap, I wanna say like $30 and you ca switch between 4-5 cocktails! total game changer. *

DRINKS on stone street

* mad dog is a mexican restaurant/bar on stone street (the cutest, most instagramable place ever) that has great vibes. to be honest, every place on stone street has great vibes. unsure of the food because I’ve only drank at mad dog’s BUT their marg is sugary af - stay away. *

DINNER in tribeca

* if you want extremely overpriced and average food, go here. only redeeming quality was the cool Buddha statue that changes colors and their martini *

NIGHT OUT in the west village

* going out in new york on a saturday night is like going to a bar on new year’s eve: impossible. if you’re looking for a place with a lot of room (literally rare in new york), places to sit, a large group of people and a great fucking vibe… go to houston hall. I swear this place is massive and either people don’t know about it or i really value a big room lol but it’s great — beer garden vibes with projectors playing sports on the wall and reasonable priced drinks *

* I like to think of galway hooker as the place where greek life and hipsters meet *

* that being said: cute boys, fun vibes, three floors, nostalgic music, average drinks and most likely packed to the BRIM with people *

TIMES SQUARE at 3am

* highly recommend a 3 am trip to times square. *

Sunday

BREAKFAST at leo’s

* if you didn’t get a bagel in new york, did you even go? before leaving we had to get my bagel “fix” and boy was it good 🤤🥯. in general, nyc bagels are 💯 but leo’s are next level *

THE VIEW of all views

* the pictures speak for themselves *
